My Bachelorette Weekend

My favorite part about getting married is having the people I love in one place.  I had the most incredible weekend with my friends all thanks to my bridesmaid/bestie/former roomie Adriane. She took care of all the details and decorated our desert hideaway into the perfect Bachelorette pad. I decided to make my weekend coed because I love my guy friends and wanted to include them. It was the best decision ever. We had adorable matching T-shirts and the boys even chose to wear pink without me asking! Everyone was so committed to having a great time which really set the tone for the whole weekend.

My Current Favorite Clean Beauty Products

Winter is here! And with it comes a serious need to pamper our skin. As much as I dazzle you all with this pretty mug of mine, I was not blessed with great skin.  Don’t get me wrong, I had the face of an angel growing up, but then wham bam bam, puberty hit and my face was a minefield of painful breakouts.  I consulted several different dermatologists and tried all of the most commonly prescribed creams and pills out there, most of which left me with very dry and irritated skin or no improvement at all.  I became complacent with the fact that “I just didn’t have good skin,” and that was something I had to live with. Time and age helped with the level of my acne, and I’ve noticed that it has subsided.  I still battle with it on a daily basis, but what really turned things around for me was changing my skincare routine. I have changed a ton of things, but one thing I’ve noticed is a huge increase in the health of my skin after I switched to cleaner products (free of toxic ingredients).  I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry sensitive cheeks so these are a few products that work well for that skin type.

Our Mexico Adventures!

This post is way overdue, but summer’s not over yet! I’m a huge fan of taking September vacations. Flights are cheaper, there are way less crowds, and you won’t be melting while trying to sight-see. This summer we took our international trip in early June because we couldn’t wait for summer to begin! We spent a week in Playa del Carmen and took day trips to Akumal and Tulum. Hope this post inspires you to take advantage of the remaining weeks of summer!

What I Wore in Mexico

In June, Parker and I took a week-long getaway to Mexico.  We stayed in Playa del Carmen and took day trips to Akumal and Tulum.  Another post about our adventures will be coming soon! I wanted to share with you guys some of the outfits I wore when I was down there.  I've included ways to style beachwear, day, and evening outfits. A big thanks to my stylist friend Alexia Castillo for helping me put together these looks! And the best part?  Most of these pieces are affordable so you don't need to break the bank!

Retro 50's Diner Shoot

What an amazing year its been! When I'm not running to rehearsal or dropping some sick beats for a concert, I've been slaying some photoshoots and it's been a blast!  I was lucky enough to join TGS Collective, which connected me to some wonderful creatives living in my area and brought me the opportunity to be published.  I'm so happy I started this journey because I've met some of the most talented, driven, and ambitious people who have inspired me to go further in my art.  I had this retro 50's diner shoot idea in my head for months before pulling the trigger and making it happen.  This team totally rocked it!
